Bobby Lashley managed to retain his US Championship last week Monday Night Raw, defeats Ciampa despite outside interference from The Miz and a great deal of effort from the former NXT Champion. But WWE fans won’t have to wait long to see him put gold on the line once again, as his next title defense against AJ Styles was announced on the August 15 episode of Raw. Styles has been somewhat in the background for the past few weeks, taking out Miz or Ciampa whenever they try to interfere with ringside matches.
“The Phenomenal One” is a former three-time United States Champion, whose last reign was in 2019 while allied with The Good Brothers as The OC. He ruled from July to November of that year, eventually dropping the title to Rey Mysterio on an episode of Raw.

Lashley made headlines earlier this week when he said fighting He was recently called up for a fight against former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson. He explained, “Someone came to me. It was a naked organization, but they were going to do some boxing work or one of those other companies. Someone came up to me and said, ‘Are you going to put Mike Tyson on?'” I was like, ‘Hell yeah, I was going to hook Mike Tyson.’ I guess it was an outside feeling. They had different people in the institutions. He wasn’t the best guy, he was somebody doing some merchandising and some of his work. I think he was one of the money guys that hooked up Through my college or something.. But he approached me and said, ‘We’re looking for a big fight at Madison Square Garden. Are you interested in fighting Mike Tyson?” At first, I was thinking about Iron Mike and was like, “Damn, that’s going to hurt.” But then I thought, You know what? I’ve been boxing for a long time. I have a little bit of volume. I don’t have nearly It’s one of the skills he has, but it’s definitely something I’ll take care of.”
The fight deal fails, but Lashley said he’s still open to the idea — “Mike is still Mike. Mike does different things with his podcasts and Mike is very open about smoking and DMT and everything like that. But he’s still Mike Tyson. But, You know what everyone’s talking about, “Do you fight Mike Tyson?” Most people say, “No hell,” “How much money would you get to fight Mike Tyson?” It’s astronomical numbers for most people. For me? It’s an honor to fight Mike Tyson And I would like to be able to do that. Is it too stretchy for me? Yes. It might be a bit difficult. I’m a wrestler. But I’ve been boxing for a long time. So I would definitely like to fight that fight.”
